Ranee Cress

Board of Trustees—Chief Executive Officer

Ranee is a 1993 graduate of the University of Houston with a BS in Kinesiology/Exercise Science. She has enjoyed employment as an exercise therapist, specializing in cardiac rehabilitation at Sam Houston Memorial Hospitals’ Wellness Center. In 1996 she and her husband, Brad, formed Drillmax, Inc., an oilfield manufacturing company. Ranee assumes an active role in the administrative and financial aspects of their business.

Ranee, additionally enjoys being involved and volunteering in the numerous activities of their three children. She and her family are members of LifeGiving Ministries Church, where she has served in many capacities of ministry for over twenty years. Ranee is a member of the National Charity League and is honored to serve as CEO of Network for Family Recovery.

William V.H. Clarke

Board of Trustee- Secretary/Treasurer

Mr. Clarke holds a B.A. in Economics and a B.S. in Accounting from Rice University.  Since 1968 Mr. Clarke has been a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and since 1976 has been Owner of William V.H. Clarke, Certified Public Accountant where he handles business planning, tax consulting, financial planning, and investment management.   He has held positions as Ernst & Ernst and Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co.   From 1976 to 1989 Mr. Clarke was Senior Executive Vice President and Director of Bay-Houston Towing Co., Bay-Houston Maritime Industries Inc., Michigan Peat Inc., Lamoc Corporation, CRH Oil & Gas Inc., W.D. Haden Company, and Crystal Peak Minerals Corporation.

Mr. Clarke is Controller of The Wortham Foundation, Inc. and Secretary Treasurer of The Carruth Foundation.  Mr. Clarke also holds the positions of President of I & C Management Company, Inc. and Treasurer of SAI Management Company, Inc.  He has been President and Chairman of The Parish Children’s School since August 1998.

Christine Butts

Board of Trustee – Vice President

Christine  is a 1993 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin where she obtained her BBA in International Business and Finance. In 1996, she graduated from the University of Houston Law School. Christine is Board Certified in Probate and Estate Planning by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. As a law student, Christine was publishing editor of the Houston Journal of International Law. Christine limits her practice of law to the following areas: probate, estate and gift tax planning, business entities, and charitable organizations. She is the firm’s webmaster and manages the firm’s estate administration department.

Active in her community, Christine serves on the board of the Network for Family Recovery and the Planned Giving Council of Houston (PGCH).  She is also on the advisory board of Houston Achievement Place and a member of Attorneys in Tax and Probate.  As an active member of the Junior League of Houston she is a seamstress for the VIEW.  Christine and her husband, Donald Butts, have four children and attend Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church.

Joe Klein

Joe has over 20 years of financial services experience. Prior to joining the Amegy team in 2001, he worked in the Capital Markets Department within the JP Morgan Chase Private Bank.

Joe graduated with a major BBA in marketing from Florida State University. Member of the President’s Club.

Life member Houston Live Stock Show and Rodeo, and The 100 Club of Houston Texas.  Active volunteer for numerous community organizations and youth sports teams.

William Teague

Mr. Teague is a native Houstonian, having attended public schools in the City of Houston.  After completing service in the United States Army, Mr. Teague commenced the practice of law in Houston in 1969.  Since 1972 Mr. Teague has owned his own law firm, Hamblen & Teague, where he has specialized in real estate, probate and trust law.  Mr. Teague holds a B.B.A. from the University of Texas and a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law.  Within the last decade Mr. Teague has been responsible for creating, maintaining and serving on the boards of several non-profit organizations.  Among Mr. Teague’s clients are several non-profit entities with varying interests in charitable fields.
